Kerstcross Vlieland 2026

The Kerstcross on Vlieland is the sporty and festive tradition on Boxing Day, this year on Saturday 26 December 2026. Campsite Stortemelk and Loopgroep Vlieland organise this recreational run, open to both island visitors and locals.
Whether you choose the 5 km or the 9 km, this cross-country run takes you along the forest and heathland trails of Vlieland, whatever the weather: sun, rain, snow or a strong sea wind! For children there is a 1 km mini cross.

What can you expect at the Kerstcross on Vlieland?

• Sporty fun: a recreational run through nature, suitable for all ages, whether competitive or relaxed.
• Christmas atmosphere: coffee and Christmas biscuits beforehand, then mulled wine, hot chocolate and a cosy fireplace in the Kleine Zaal of De Bolder afterwards.
• Always-win lottery: after the run there is a lottery in which you are guaranteed to win a prize.
• For children: the 1 km mini cross.

• Date: Saturday 26 December 2026 (Boxing Day).
• Registration: on the day from 11.00 in the Grote Zaal of De Bolder at campsite Stortemelk.
• Start: all distances at 12.00 at the sports field.
• Cost: €7 for 5 km or 9 km, €2 for the 1 km mini cross.
