  - Summer: The pools often dry up, but the landscape remains impressive and photogenic.
• Birdwatching: Depending on the season you may spot special species here, such as Marsh Harrier, Grasshopper Warbler, Stonechat, Snipe, Greenshank, Teal and Shelduck. Especially in autumn and spring the area is lively during bird migration.
• Peace and Quiet: The viewing point offers a relaxing resting place during a walk or cycle tour, perfect for a photo moment or simply to enjoy the silence.

• Circular Walk: Combine a visit to this viewpoint with the 6.5 km walk by Staatsbosbeheer through the dune landscape around the Kooisplek.
• Two Viewing Points: On this route you will pass both the viewing point Kikkerbult/Kooispleklid and this spot at the Pad van de Staatsschuur – both perfect for a short stop or photo moment.

Practical Information

• Location: The viewing point is located on the western side of the Vuurboetsduin, between the Zesduinenpad and the Postweg. Here, where the forest near the village ends, a cycle path winds past the viewpoint. You can recognise the spot by its characteristic sod wall.
