Pad van Twintig - Observation point

The Pad van Twintig is one of the numbered paths on Vlieland. It runs from the Postweg through a quiet stretch of woodland and dunes, leading you to one of the island's hidden spots.

What can you expect on the Pad van Twintig?

• Woods and dunes: The path winds through the woods and dunes in the western part of Vlieland. You often walk here in complete peace.
• The Nieuwe Kooi: In a dune hollow east of the path lies the Nieuwe Kooi, a freshwater pond in the forest that was dug at the end of the 19th century as the island's second duck decoy.
• Starting point for excursions: Guided excursions to the Nieuwe Kooi start at the bus stop on the south side of the Postweg, by the Pad van Twintig.
• Lots to discover: The Lange Paal forest area and the Oude Kooi are also within cycling distance.

• Access: You can get there by bike or by bus along the Postweg.
