Het Woeste Westen - Playground

At the end of the Dorpsstraat, on the Westerseveld at the foot of the Vuurboetsduin, you will find since early 2025 the new playground Het Woeste Westen.

What can you expect at Het Woeste Westen?

• Natural Play Equipment: From wooden swings and slides to balance beams, playhouses, tunnels, and tipis – everything is made from natural materials.
• Spacious Playfield: A large grassy field offers space for running, playing football, or having a picnic.
• Drinking Water Tap: Thirsty after all that playing? Fill your bottle at the convenient drinking water tap.
• Flowers and Plants: The playground has been designed as a natural paradise, full of greenery, flowers, and spots to experience nature up close.
• Adventure for all ages: Climbing, sliding, swinging – every child will find plenty of fun here.
• Unique Location: Situated at the edge of the village, with views of the Waddendijk and within walking distance of the highest dune of the Wadden Islands: the Vuurboetsduin.

• Location: At the end of the Dorpsstraat in Oost-Vlieland, on the Westerseveld, at the foot of the Vuurboetsduin.
• Access: The playground is public, freely accessible, and open all year round.
