An adventurous and educational discovery trip across the Wadden Sea – for young and old alike!

Unique Wadden experience: Step aboard the Phoca and set out on the Wadden Sea for an unforgettable 3-hour tour full of nature and adventure.
Walking on the seabed: At low tide you literally disembark to walk across the exposed seabed – a rare experience! With a shrimp net or digging fork, you can search for life in the mud yourself.
Seal spotting at the Richel: During the trip you sail past the Richel, a sandbank between Vlieland and Terschelling, where dozens of seals often rest. A magical moment for all ages!
Into the surf with waders: Put on a pair of waders and step waist-deep into the water with a scoop or drag net to discover what lives beneath the surface.
Small group, big experience: With only 12 participants per trip, you’ll enjoy a personal, intimate nature experience with plenty of room for questions and explanations from the guide.
Perfect for families: Children love catching little creatures themselves, standing with their feet in the mud, and seeing seals in the wild.

Practical information

Departure point: The trip starts from the marina of Vlieland, on the south side of the island at the long jetty.
Reservation recommended: Due to the limited number of places, advance booking by phone or e-mail is required.
