[list]The Dodemansbol – history and remembrance
The name Dodemansbol refers to the nearby small, modest reburial site that you pass before reaching the hide. Here lie people who died of the plague in the 17th century and were buried far from the village to prevent infection. During the construction of the Postweg in 1907, the remains were rediscovered and reburied here.
