Donia Huys, formerly DoniaState, is on the Badweg on Vlieland, between woods and dunes. The historic Dorpsstraat is a 450 metre walk and the beach a quarter of an hour.

What can you expect at Donia Huys?

• Rooms: There are 32 twin rooms with private bathroom, mini fridge and a balcony or terrace. The whole hotel is non smoking, balconies too.
• Food and drink: There is no restaurant, but the lobby shop sells snacks and drinks. For dinner, head to the village or the beach.
• Ideal for: Ideal for couples, walkers and groups. The whole hotel can also be booked exclusively.

Practical information

• Extras: You check in at a self service kiosk. Luggage goes to and from the boat free of charge. There is no lift, but you can request a ground floor room.
• Surroundings: The island is ideal for cycling and hiking. The Vuurboetsduin with its lighthouse is a great destination.
